BUZZ Meeting Notes
March 7, 2019
1. Dues: Please pay your dues ($10.60) if you haven’t already. Follow the link to PayPal at the bottom of the BUZZ website Dues are used to cover liability insurance costs and other club expenses.
2. BUZZ T-shirts – Contact Jackson if you would like to purchase one or more. They are $8 each. Pay Mattox Beckman through PayPal. Make sure to select “sending to a friend” to avoid extra charges.
3. BUZZ Glasses – Contact Tim, if you would like a BUZZ tasting glass (limit 2 per member). $4 each. Pay Mattox (see above)
4. Barrel Project: From Bryan (see his email):
Most people have brewed the Russian Imperial Stout. Bryan will be picking up the barrel, Buffalo Trace, probably the beginning of April.
5. Boneyard Brewoff will be held at the Triptych Memery June 8. Once the website is updated and software up and running, registration will be opened. Entries can be dropped off or mailed to the Memery during business hours. Look for more instructions on the website. The after party will be at the Memery and Triptych as well.

6. Judging Class – The next class will be at Jackson’s place, March 24. Please rsvp:
7. Maggie Wachter will be working on a local wild beer yeast experiment. Stay tuned for more information if you would like to participate.
8. Brew Year resolutions: If you have ideas for activities for the club to do, or ways to improve the meeting, please let Tim Schilling know. Some ideas being kicked around include: mini BUZZ club competition so that you can get good feed back on beers brewed throughout the year, and a tech demonstration on how to build something for your brewery.
9. Happy Hour:
a. Next Happy hour March 20 at Crane Alley at 6
b. Thanks to Dan for a great tour of his physics lab last month. There was a good turnout for the tour and the happy hour at 25 O’Clock. Any other creative ideas for happy hour?
10. Next Meetings:
a. March 4 @ the Triptych Memery (order a beer in the tasting room and walk on over to the brewing facility)
b. May 2 @ Riggs
c. June 6 @ Riggs
11. Presentation: Thanks to Bryan for his informative presentation on high gravity brewing
12. Presenter need for next meeting. Please let Tim Schililng know if you can present on something next meeting.
